Whatever happened to customer service?
I know everyone says this all the time, instead of expecting at the very least good customer service, we have come to expect bad. And on the rare occasion we are surprised by a pleasant, helpful sales rep. or customer service agent, we ever so grateful.
I am so tired of holding, waiting, watching the person in front of me be treated disrecpectfully.
When did this happen? When did we decide we would expect less? It’s ridiculous, for lack of a better word, that we ‘as customers’ receive anything less than good customer service. I work hard for my money, and when I spend it on which ever products I choose I except not to be put on hold for an endless amount of time, I except a call back when they said they were going to call, I expect to be greeted respectfully, I except what I provide for my clients!
I want to talk to the person they spoke with last week. I want them to know my name, as I will remember theirs! Do not wish to explain what I need or what issue I might have over and over. And in return; I will pay more for better service, I will refer your company time after time, I will not mind waiting for your service, provide me with customer service experience that I deserve and your business will have my loyalty along with my referrals.
Great Customer service is the key to success! A small business can compete with large corporate business, provide that ‘above and beyond’ customer service and your business will win out ever time. I work for an air conditioning company, Jones Air Conditioning & Electric, and we always answer the phones with-in 2 rings, no automated machines, real people! We know our customer’s names, most of the time just by the sound of their voice. We always provide the best service we can from the start to finish. We realize you don’t have to choose our company, but you have and we appreciate it! We want your loyalty, we want your referrals.
Why is it so hard for other companies to do the same? I know everyone is getting paid less, and bills are due, but really the only way you will make more money, and move forward is to work harder, longer and faster than the next guy. And who know whose on the other end of the line, maybe they own a fortune 500 company, make your service memorable and who knows where it can lead.
Great customer will increase your customer base, will provide additional revenue and its also a getting networking tool! Let’s stop expecting less than we deserves, lets work harder to provide the same for our industries, let’s bring back that good ole fashion customer service are grandparents provided and received in return!
